History
Our building has been a continuously operating village store for over 140 years. During that time we have been a focal point for West Barnstable. Located across from the rail depot we were the second impression visitors had of West Barnstable.
Original depot. The horses were used to transport folks to Cotuit, Osterville, and points south. "Legend has it that West Barnstable is known as "Shark City" because there were card players at the station ready to relieve delayed passengers of their boredom and money."

The current Depot is Headquarters for the Cape Cod Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society.

Recently you can find us as part of the "The Lightkeepers" movie starring Richard Dreyfuss and Blynthe Danner.
